Possibly the only single species British Field Maple barbecue charcoal available in the UK, it produces a steady medium-high heat that burns very cleanly with minimal ash and a slightly sweet flavour profile. Perfectly paired with chicken, pork or vegetables.

As this is charcoal will only impart mild flavour to your food, don’t be scared to use it for those long cooks, and try some of our cherry chunks if you want extra smokiness.

Please note: Shipping is charged at a flat rate due to the bulky nature of charcoal. We can squeeze 3x 6kg bags into a box, so stock up if you think you’ll enjoy a few barbecues this year!

Field Maple charcoal is a fine grained, denser British hardwood charcoal that produces a medium-high heat and slightly sweet flavour profile. This rarely comes on the market as Field Maple (as the name suggests) is more of a field or hedgerow tree rather than from a woodland. We have sourced this specially from a local agroforestry project, and as far as we know is the only single species Field Maple charcoal available in the UK! Very limited stocks, so get some while you can!
