Charcoal delivery orders are processed within 72 hours where possible. The majority of orders placed through our online charcoal shop will be dispatched the next working day. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order we will contact you using the email you provide.
Delivery costs are as follows:-
£7.25 (plus VAT) per courier box for most UK postcodes including Isle of Wight and Isle of Man.
£ 9.75 (plus VAT) per courier box for Highlands and Scottish Islands.
£27.33 per courier box for Northern Ireland.
£25.00 per courier box to the Channel Islands.
Charcoal delivery charges are calculated and displayed at checkout. Charges are per courier box, a courier box can carry up to 3 x 6kg bags of charcoal or up to 5 x 3kg bags of charcoal or 8 x 1kg bags of charcoal, or certain variations of these. The website checkout will automatically calculate the number of boxes necessary to fulfil your order. Please ensure that you use the “Update checkout” button at checkout when changing products in your basket in order to see the correct cost to have your charcoal delivered. Charges are higher for addresses in the Scottish Highlands & Remote Postcodes. These are listed below.
We also offer a click & collect service if you so wish to pick up your order you may do so upon receipt of your order confirmation email. We will need to see proof of this on pick up. Please use the postcode SN8 2JX and look out for the Slate Hill Charcoal sign next to 2 black and white open gates. Check out the map on our contact us page.
If you are eligible for free shipping, then this will only be available to postcodes within the standard UK postal system. Postcodes listed above as Highlands and Scottish islands, Northern Ireland or the channel islands are not eligible for free delivery, and refunds will be offered if this option is selected.
If you have selected delivery of your purchase you will receive a shipping confirmation email when dispatched from us, and from this you’ll be able to track the process until your charcoal is delivered. We use CSM Logistics for our deliveries, but your parcel may be delivered by either Parcelforce, UPS or DHL.
Upon arrival of your delivery please check for damages and if faulty/damaged notify the driver at the time or contact the courier to make a claim. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim. Slate Hill Charcoal Co. is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. Slate Hill Charcoal Co. will not accept liability for any product that has been left out in the rain/hail/snow and/or any damp areas at any time of year. We suggest specifying a safe and dry place for delivery should you not be home.
Following our ethos to reduce transportation emissions we do not offer our charcoal delivered to countries outside the UK.
We do not ship to PO boxes.
